FAQ

Common questions about TypeHue licensing, compatibility, and our offline-first philosophy.

Is TypeHue a subscription?

No. TypeHue is a one-time purchase. Once you buy a license, it is yours forever for the current major version. We believe in ownership, not rent.

Can I use it on multiple devices?

Each license is for one device. Same-device reinstalls are supported; cross-device transfers are not included right now.

What are the system requirements?

TypeHue is available for Windows 10/11 and macOS. The Windows build ships as a direct .exe and Microsoft Store listing; the Mac build ships as a universal DMG.

Can I install TypeHue from the Microsoft Store?

Yes. Windows users can install TypeHue from the Microsoft Store with the same 7-day trial and licensing flow as the direct Windows download.

Why does Windows show a security warning when I run the installer?

Windows may display a 'Windows protected your PC' or 'Unknown publisher' warning the first time you run TypeHue. This is normal for newly released apps before Microsoft SmartScreen builds full trust. Click 'More info' then 'Run anyway' — TypeHue is safe to continue if downloaded from this official website.

Why does macOS say TypeHue cannot be opened?

The first Mac DMG is available now, but it is not Apple-notarized or Apple code-signed yet. If macOS blocks the first open, use System Settings > Privacy & Security > Open Anyway for TypeHue, or Control-click the app and choose Open when macOS offers that option.

Is there a Linux version?

Not currently. TypeHue is available for Windows and macOS right now.

Will we get any updates in future?

Your license unlocks TypeHue on one device for the current major version. When we publish maintenance updates for that major version, you can install them on the same device at no extra charge. We do not promise a fixed update schedule or guaranteed future major versions.

Do you offer refunds?

Since we provide a 7-day full-feature trial with no account required, we do not offer refunds after a purchase is made. We encourage everyone to use the trial period to ensure TypeHue is the perfect fit for your workflow before buying.
